About 2 months ago, my wife and I moved into our new house. It has been a busy time moving and settling into the new house, hence the lack of blog posts recently.
Our house is situated in Sydney’s north west suburbs, although it is a lot closer to civilisation than when we were living at The Shed. That being said,The Shed was a great place to live, and I’m certainly going to miss some aspects of living there, but it is very nice to have our home to call our own. It is a 2 story “freestanding” townhouse (meaning it is in a townhouse complex. but is not attached to any other townhouse). There are 4 bedrooms, though one is designed more as a study, and we have a double garage. There is a small backyard area with a small pergola, some grass and some garden areas.
There has been a bit of work to do around the place. Before moving in, we had the inside of the house painted. Despite being only 5-6 years old, the paint on the walls and ceilings was in really bad condition, so the painter came in and just over a week later, it looked just like new again. I have spent some time pulling weeds out of the garden, and thanks to the recent rain this had been made a lot easier.
It is starting to feel more and more like home, and we are very happy to be here and looking forward to the future in our home.
